Shah Alam National Botanical Park

Shah Alam National Botanical Park is located in Shah Alam and it is outskirt of Kuala Lumpur, it is a Malaysia's first agriculture park was opened to the public since 1986. It was previously known as "Taman Cahaya Seri Alam Agriculture Park" but is now known as Taman Botani Negara or National Botanical Park. The 1,295 hectare of tropical rain forest and agriculture park is one of the largest in the world. Visitors come here to explore the many agricultural plants that are grown here. Paddy field is found here, so are cocoa trees, oil palm, rubber trees, coffee, coconut and other fruit trees.
There are many gardens in this park among which are the Animal Park, Spice Garden, Ornamental Garden, Orchid Garden, Cactus Garden, Bamboo Garden and Mushroom Garden. Bicycles are available for rent at the park while free bus service is provided to ferry visitors to various spots within the park. If you like fishing, there are lakes within the park that you can fish for a fee of RM2 per fishing rod.
The best way to enjoy this park is by renting a bicycle or taking a slow walk to explore the natural beauty of this place. There is also a swimming pool for you to use in the event that you want to cool yourself after a long day's walk.
